City of Apache Junction, AZ

Prepared an evaluation of the impacts of major airspace and route changes in the Phoenix area. WAC Consultants secured FAA approval for a public use helicopter landing area within the City government complex. Evaluated the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Phoenix Area Regional Airspace System Plan (RASP).

Secured FAA approval for the removal of a white flashing obstruction light from a cellular tower located within the City municipal complex. The FAA had refused to allow the removal of the light. WAC Consultants resubmitted the request with a written explanation as to why the light was no longer required and the FAA agreed to the lights removal. The flashing white strobe light was the subject of several complaints from residents during the nighttime hours.
