Terrill L. Schomburg – Air Traffic Management

Mr. Schomburg is an Air Traffic Management Subject Matter Expert with over 35 years of experience. He has been an Area Supervisor and Area Manager where he was responsible for the training, proficiency and certification of all air traffic personnel in the Orange County area.

 

He served as the Terminal and En Route Requirements Specialist for the Western-Pacific Region, responsible for implementation of programs and equipment into both terminal and En Route air traffic facilities. He also had primary responsibility for the Display System Replacement (DSR), PC Remote Control Unit (PC-RCU), FDIO Thermal Printer projects, and equipment to support the Los Angeles Arrival Enhancement Project (LAEP) project.

 

As Assistant Air Traffic Manager, Mr. Schomburg was responsible for the day-to-day air traffic operations at the John Wayne Airport (SNA) airport and assisted in the overall management of the John Wayne Hub, which included the following facilities: Long Beach (LGB), Torrance (TOA), Chino (CNO), Brackett (POC), Ontario (ONT), Palm Springs (PSP) and Palomar (CRQ). In addition to the aforementioned towers, he had oversight of three Federal Contract Towers, which were Fullerton (FUL), Riverside (RAL) and Ramona (RNM).

 

Mr. Schomburg was responsible for the design approval, equipment placement and construction oversight of the tower cab replacement project at the John Wayne Airport and provided management oversight during the installation of the new voice switch for the control tower operations and new administrative phone and security systems.
