Air Traffic Control

Air Traffic Controller Training for any modern, International Air Traffic Control system is based primarily on a combination of classroom instruction, simulation training and on-the-job training (OJT).

Developmental controllers generally begin Air Traffic Controller Training with limited or no Air Traffic Control experience, prior civil or military experience, or (as in the case of the USA) will have completed an aviation-related program of study through the FAA’s Air Traffic-Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) program.

Certified Air Traffic Controllers, as a part of their various controller duties, provide all phases of OJT to developmental controllers.  Many of the skills and abilities that define a successful Air Traffic Controller are passed on between controllers during the OJT portion of Air Traffic Controller Training.

Williams Aviation Consultants Inc. has decades of experience in all of the Air Traffic Controller Training disciplines that are utilized in today’s modern Air Traffic Management Systems.  We have the knowledge and skills to design an Air Traffic Controller Training Program for every discipline from the ground up or we can develop any portion of that system tailored to our client’s specific needs.
